Environmental assessment of the integrity of streams in urban green parks

Green areas in urban spaces are highly relevant environments promoting the population’s quality of life, as they provide leisure, recreation, thermal comfort, and contact with nature. This study aimed to evaluate degree human alterations streams three green parks city Dourados, MS, Brazil, through survey visual, physical, chemical parameters. The results presented after applying Rapid Assessment Protocol for Habitat Diversity (RAP) measuring water physical parameters characterized 'altered'. minimum maximum values dissolved oxygen were below acceptable standards aquatic biota, means 3.2 5.4 mg L−1. light incidence ranged from 51 64%, indicating absence or reduction riparian vegetation. pH, temperature, total solids, electrical conductivity did not indicate environmental degradation. These allowed evaluating integrity parks, which showed due actions. Thus, function conservation preservation biodiversity is being fully achieved may negatively interfere generation use ecosystem services.
